Artificial Seasoning (MSG) describes a depression-era. Traditional daisy granny square pattern and quilting technique represent the history of the Great Depression-era in America. Food packaging of Korean artificial seasoning called “Miwon,” MSG, enhances the food taste by its chemical combination. This juxtaposition portrays a pivotal realization: the harsh realities of capitalism clashing with artificially enhanced dreams, ultimately exposing the disappointment these illusions fostered.
